Inuvik Tuktoyaktuk Highway Day Tour to the Arctic Ocean

Tour time:  8-10 hours

We will drive you from Inuvik to the Arctic Ocean and Tuktoyaktuk and back!  This 140 kilometer remote gravel highway is the first ever to link Canada from coast to coast to coast.  You will travel over some beautiful Arctic tundra around little lakes and small hills for about 2.5 hours.  Once you arrive in Tuk we will give you a village tour and include a stop at the ocean for a dip or stand on it if it is winter.  You will also receive a nice certificate for going into the ocean.  Inuvik airport pick-up and drop-off is included in this tour if you are flying in and heading straight to Tuktoyaktuk and back the same day.   

We reserve the right to add more people to this tour. Your price will remain the same as at the time of booking. 

Cultural Tuk Tour

Tour time : 2 hours

$225/person for 2 people 


This tour includes a visit into an Inuit home for traditional lunch of reindeer soup, bannock, do-nuts, fresh fish in summer, tea, coffee & water.  Samples of Muktuk (whale meat) & dry meat will also be available.  Included in this home visit you will get to see Inuit clothing such as dress parkas, mukluks & mittens made from  wolf, caribou, seal skin and rabbit fur.  Guests can also get pictures taken of themselves modelling Inuit clothing.

Discussion with host about the Inuit lifestyle of hunting, trapping, fishing, living in Tuk, wildlife in the area, Inuit Rights.


NOTE:   This Tour is based on 2 or more people taking the tour.  Discounts are offered to large groups.  Discounts available for larger groups.

Boat on the Arctic Ocean !

  •  Boat ride or skidoo to the Pingos   

Tour time : 2 hours

$175 per person*


This tour includes getting close to some of the pingos and  the possibility of viewing wildlife such as grizzly bears, caribous, foxes, ducks, geese and other birds.  Be aware that boating depends on weather and wind conditions

Overnight Package

$475 per person for 2 people    


Package includes:  

  • 2 hr. village tour of Tuktoyaktuk
