Itinerary
Monday:
Fly from Whitehorse to Inuvik
Arrive in Inuvik Airport Welcome
Short town tour and ice road drive if possible & grocery shopping for breakfast foods etc.
Check into your cabin
Tuesday:
10am Driving tour to the Arctic Ocean and explore the hamlet of Tuktoyaktuk, see the Biggest Pingo and walk on the ocean ice!
Note: You may be able to add on a 1.5-2hr cultural side tour in Tuk that includes a traditional lunch in the home of an Inuit family. Let us know if you are interested in that. The cost is $200pp. The plan is to be back in Inuvik by 6 or 7 pm for dinner in town or in your room.
Wednesday:
Breakfast in your cabin
10:30am Come to the office and prepare for a fun dogsledding experience (1hr on the trail)
Have lunch in your cabin
3pm Snowmobile for 1 hr to the Arctic Loon Cabin for a comfortable overnight stay
5:30pm Enjoy a hearty vegetarian dinner by the wood stove at this cozy remote cabin
This evening you can look for the Aurora away from city lights! Overnight at the cabin tonight.
Thursday:
9 am Pancake breakfast
11am Go for a snowshoe walk with Judi and Yannik, her magnificent husky leader!
2pm Have a good lunch
3-3:30pm Prepare to snowmobile back to the Arctic Chalet
6pm We will take you into town for dinner or you can eat in your cabin
Friday:
10am Check out of your cabin and we will take you to the airport
Fly back to Whitehorse at 11:05am
Arrive in Whitehorse at 2pm

1:30pm Short dog sled tour
3pm Town of Inuvik tour followed by some grocery shopping and or a meal at a restaurant in town
Monday Feb 15
11am Dog sledding tour
2pm Snowmobile trip to the remote outpost cabin 1 Hr each way
Snowshoeing on prepared snowshoe trails or relaxing at the cabin
Full Dinner at the cabin
Northern Lights viewing out on the deck away from light pollution
Overnight at the Cabin
Tuesday February 16
8am Short Snowshoe walk with Judi & Olav and Yannik on Loop #1
9am Healthy Breakfast
11am Snowshoe tour to Hidden Lake (about 1 hr)
Lunch
Snowshoe walk to Spy Rock
Relaxing time inside
Full Dinner at the cabin
Northern Lights viewing from the lookout

Wednesday February 17
8am Short Snowshoe walk with Judi, Yannik and Olav to Rock of Ages
9am Healthy Breakfast
11am Snowmobile back to Arctic Chalet
2pm Ice Road tour with a short walk on ice
Shuttle to town (opt) for dinner
Thursday February 18
10am Full day trip to the Arctic Ocean (3 hrs each way with commentary)
Tour of the Pingo Canadian Landmark and hamlet of Tuktoyaktuk
Drive to the Arctic Ocean Sign for photos
Stand on the ocean ice and get a certificate for doing that
4pm Drive back to Inuvik
Dinner in Town at a restaurant with Olav & Judi
Overnight at the Arctic Chalet
Friday February 19
9:45am Check-out and Shuttle to the airport
11:55am Flight to Whitehorse Arriving at 2:50pm

- The Single Supplement is an extra $500 for a private room.
Meals are not included at the Arctic Chalet or on the tour to Tuk, but your cabin will have a kitchen/kitchenette where you can prepare breakfast & lunches and cook your own food. We will take you to the grocery store whenever you like. - Judi and Olav are vegetarian and will serve you some delicious vegetarians meals out at the Loon cabin for any of our overnight packages.
If circumstances that are out of our control prevent you from taking part in an activity that is part of your itinerary we will try to substitute another activity for you to enjoy. Otherwise we will not be refunding any portion of the package that you paid for. We highly recommend that you get travel insurance.
