Monday afternoon: Arrival in Inuvik, shuttle to the Arctic Chalet and check into your comfortable full-service cabin where you will stay for the next 4 nights. First of all we will give you a very interesting tour of the unique town of Inuvik.
Tuesday: Today we will drive you all the way to the Arctic Ocean and give you a tour of the village of Tuktoyaktuk. This is a full dat tour with an interesting guide who really knows the Arctic.
Wednesday: Today we will take you on a half-day dog sled tour with our beautiful friendly white huskies. We will also enjoy a hot lunch around a campfire.
Thursday: Today we will drive the Mackenzie River ice road to the village of Aklavik. It is a 2-2.5 hour drive each way all on ice !
Friday: Time to say goodbye and check out. We will shuttle you to the airport for your flight south.
This package includes other activities besides dog sledding.

Sunday: We will meet you at the airport and shuttle you to the Arctic Chalet where you will check into your cabin, followed by a tour of the town of Inuvik which will include a short drive on the Mackenzie river ice road.
Monday: After breakfast in your room we will take you on a fun dog sled tour out into the Mackenzie Delta where we will have a hot lunch around a campfire.
Tuesday: Today you will drive your dog team to the Arctic Loon Cabin. The trip is about 2.5 to 3 hours. Here you will enjoy a good meal and overnight. This cabin is off the grid, but very comfortable with warm bedding and an indoor toilet! Dinner, breakfast and lunch are provided.
Wednesday: In the morning you can accompany Judi for some snowshoeing on a scenic trail or enjoy relaxing in the cabin. After lunch we will prepare for the trip back to the Arctic Chalet with the dog teams or by snowmobile.
Thursday: Today we will offer you one of our vehicles to drive the new highway to Tuktoyaktuk on the Arctic Ocean or we can drive you there and give you the full interpretive tour.
Friday: Today you check out and we will take you to the airport to see you off.
- Meals are not included at the Arctic Chalet or on the tour to Tuk, but your cabin will have a kitchen where you can prepare and cook your own food. We will take you to the grocery store whenever you like.
- Judi and Olav are vegetarian and will serve you some delicious vegetarians meals out at the Loon cabin and around the campfire on your half-day dog sled tour.
- Let us know if you have any food allergies.
- We do not include Saturdays in any of our tour packages. Otherwise, our dates are quite flexible and we can modify or customize a package to suit your interests.

Sunday Afternoon: Arrival in Inuvik, shuttle to the Arctic Chalet and check into your comfortable full-service cabin where you will stay for the next 7 nights. As an introduction to your Arctic Experience we will give you a very interesting tour of the unique town of Inuvik.
Monday: Today we will drive you all the way to the Arctic Ocean and give you a tour of the village of Tuktoyaktuk. This is a full day tour with the option to add on a two-hour cultural tour in Tuk which includes a traditional lunch with native elders.
Tuesday: Today we will give you a tour of the husky kennels. Here you will meet our beautiful friendly white huskies. Then you will drive a team of huskies on a half-day dog sled tour to Picnic Lake where we will all enjoy a hot lunch around a campfire.
Wednesday: Today we will drive the Mackenzie River ice road to the village of Aklavik. It’s a 2.5 hour drive each way all on ice!
Thursday: Drive a snowmobile on a guided overnight tour to our secluded outpost cabin a little ways out of town located in some beautiful hills above a lake. The drive out is only about one hour. A full dinner will be served to you there in the evening. Snacks and hot drinks available anytime. Tonight you can look for the Aurora Borealis away from all artificial lights.
Friday: Enjoy a pancake breakfast/brunch, at the cabin followed by a snowshoe hike on a scenic trail that offers some great views before snowmobiling back to the Arctic Chalet.
Saturday: This is a leisure day off to spend around Inuvik or snowshoeing on the property. This is Olav and Judi's day of rest so no other tours will be available today.
Sunday: Check out and fly south.
If circumstances that are out of our control prevent you from taking part in an activity that is part of your package we will try to substitute another activity for you to enjoy. Otherwise we will not be refunding any portion of the package that you paid for.
Pay a deposit when you book your package and the balance owing 30 days ahead of your tour date. Deposit is 50% refundable up to 30 days ahead or your tour date and tour package price paid 30 days ahead is not refundable if you decide to cancel your tour within the 30 day period.
